Leutze Hall is named in honor of Chancellor Emeritus James R. Leutze, the fifth chancellor or president the campus has had since being founded in 1947. Originally called Lakeside Hall due to its location near the Commons lake, the building became known as Leutze Hall in a 2003 dedication ceremony.
The Kresge Greenhouse is a classroom-laboratory which allows for a year-round supply of salt marsh environment plants to be cultured for teaching and research.
