Earn More with Priority Mode

As a Platinum driver, you now have exclusive access to Priority Mode. You can turn it on when things get slow to stay busy and keep earning. You’ll always come out on top with Priority Mode. In fact, most drivers earn 15% more.

How it works

  • More rides, less downtime. Spend less time waiting between ride requests and more time earning.

  • Always come out on top. You’ll make slightly less per ride with Priority Mode, but you’ll earn more overall because you’ll get more rides. In the rare case you don’t earn more, your earnings will be adjusted so that you always come out on top.

  • See how much more you earn. You can see how Priority Mode boosted your earnings in the Driver app. Most drivers earn 15% more.

FAQs

How do I earn in Priority Mode?

You’ll make slightly less per ride, but you’ll have more opportunities to earn. Most drivers earn 15% more using Priority Mode. Plus, you can see how much Priority Mode boosted your earnings.

Where can I see how much I earned in Priority Mode?

Visit the Earnings tab in your Lyft Driver app to see how much you earned. You’ll be able to see this info anytime you drive at least one hour in Priority Mode. It’ll appear in your Earnings tab the next day.

When will my earnings be adjusted?

In the rare case you don’t earn more in Priority Mode, you’ll get an earnings adjustment to match what you would have earned for those rides without Priority Mode so you'll always come out on top. This may happen if Priority Mode doesn’t keep you as busy as expected. Any day you’ve given rides for at least one hour in Priority Mode, you’ll be eligible for an adjustment. It’ll appear in the Earnings tab the next day.

Will I see my Priority Mode earnings upfront?

If upfront pay is available in your region, you will continue to see the amount you’ll earn for each ride upfront when you are driving in Priority Mode.

When will Priority Mode hours be available?

When’s the best time to use it?

It’s your choice when to use Priority Mode. It’s generally most useful to keep Priority Mode on when it’s less busy because you’ll be prioritized for ride requests as they become available.
