Lyft Driver App 101

Ready to hit the road? Our driver app is simple and easy to use. Here’s a refresher on how it works:

Going Online

Once you tap ‘Go Online’, you’ll be able to receive ride requests. 

Accepting Requests

When a request comes in, you’ll see the passenger’s photo, location, and rating. Tap anywhere to accept before the timer runs out.

Navigating to Your Passenger

Tap the arrow to open your navigation app (Google Maps or Waze) and head to your passenger’s location.

Following the Ride Prompts

When picking up or dropping off, switch back to the Lyft app and we’ll prompt you to tap in the app for each step.
