Eligible Premium Vehicles

The list below includes vehicles eligible for Extra Comfort, Black and Black SUV rides. To qualify for XL rides, your car must have a vehicle with at least 7 seat belts. The year listed for each vehicle represents the oldest vehicle year that’s allowed for that ride option. Vehicle year will increase by one year every year.

Eligibility for premium ride types also includes factors like driver rating, number of rides completed and vehicle attributes. Availability of each ride type varies by region. All vehicles must comply with any city and state requirements for your area and for the listed ride option. In addition, all vehicles and drivers in NYC must also be licensed by the NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission.

We’re updating Extra Comfort vehicle eligibility to remove specific 2018-2020 models. The vehicle eligibility requirements represented here for Extra Comfort rides go into effect December 4. We will also be updating the minimum vehicle age requirement for Black and Black SUV from 2017 to 2018 or newer in early 2025. You can check your personal eligibility from “Your Vehicle” under “Vehicle and Devices” in your Driver app.
