Lyft is pleased to announce that Brian Irving, a customer-obsessed Chief Marketing Officer, is joining the company effective March 20th.
Brian has over two decades of experience building and marketing iconic, global technology brands including Meta, Eventbrite, Airbnb, Google, and Apple. He also previously served as co-CMO and VP of global digital marketing for Levi Strauss & Co. True to form as a leader creating memorable customer experiences, Brian led the “Live There” rebranding campaign at Airbnb that encouraged travelers to connect with hosts and immerse themselves into the neighborhoods and communities for truly unique experiences while traveling. He is a member of the board of directors at The Trevor Project, the leading nonprofit organization focused on suicide prevention among LGBTQIA+ youth.
“I grew up in the automotive industry…always fascinated by helping people get places. And now, as a loyal Lyft rider for years, I get to meld my passion for transportation with the technology that helps riders and drivers alike” said Brian. “The brand foundations are strong – and yet there is so much more we can do to put the brand into action. Lyft is known for its warmth, likability, and endearing personality. These are qualities that any other brand would be jealous of, and I am confident in the team's ability to accelerate the brand connection to even more riders and drivers as we go forward.”
