Due to ongoing airport renovations, Lyft pickups will be changing at Los Angeles International Airport. Starting Oct. 29, all rideshare pickups will be moving to the LAX-it lot near Terminal 1. Drop-offs will remain curbside at the departures (upper) level of your terminal. But don’t worry — we’re here to make sure your airport rides go smoothly.
Getting a Ride After You Land
All Lyft pickups, except for Black and Black SUV, will be moving to the LAX-it lot — a short walk from Terminals 1, 2, 7, and 8. Riders not wanting to walk and those arriving at Terminals 3, 4, 5, 6, and the International Terminal will need to take an LAX-it shuttle bus from the arrivals (lower) level inner curb. Shuttles run frequently, stop at all terminals and can be found by following green signage inside and outside the airport. Black and Black SUV pick-ups will be at the arrivals (lower) level outer curb.
Riders requesting Shared and XL rides should meet their drivers in Zone 6C of the LAX-it lot. All other riders will be picked up from Zone 5-7. Lyft ambassadors will be onsite to answer any questions and help you find your driver.
Supporting smoother LAX Pickups
We’ve added new features to the Lyft app to support a smoother — and faster — LAX pickup experience. New Fast Match pickups use a unique 4-digit code and a dedicated pickup line to help you meet your driver and get going faster. And whether you walk or take the shuttle, the Lyft app now automatically sends your ride as you reach the LAX-it lot.
Lux Black Curbside Pickups
Skip the shuttle and get a premium ride in minutes with Black and Black SUV. Black rides feature premium cars with black exteriors and leather interiors — like the BMW 5 Series or Cadillac Escalade — as well as professional drivers and plenty of legroom. To request a Black ride, head to the arrivals (lower) level outer curb and open your Lyft app. Next, enter your destination and choose ‘Black’ or ‘Black SUV’. Select your terminal and the nearest door number. Your driver will meet you curbside.
