Today, Lyft announced that Janey Whiteside has joined Lyft’s Board of Directors, effective July 31, 2023. She will also serve as a member of the Compensation Committee. 

“Janey’s a world-class, customer-obsessed executive,” said Lyft CEO David Risher. “Her background helping iconic brands like American Express and Walmart grow will help our Board and organization focus even more on improving drivers’ and riders’ lives.”

Janey currently serves as a Partner at Consello and is the CEO of Consello Growth and Business Development, one of Consello’s four business divisions. Consello Growth is a revenue acceleration platform designed to execute on growth and profitability objectives for clients across multiple industries. 

Prior to joining Consello, Janey served as EVP and Chief Customer Officer at Walmart, where she launched Walmart+, its first ever membership program and Walmart Connect, its retail media business, a new advertising platform. Under Janey’s direction, Walmart was recognized as an industry leader in design and innovation for the merging of the Walmart apps; the expansion of the retailer’s pickup and delivery offering; exploring new technologies to better employees’ work experience; and launching a new store design. Prior to Walmart, Janey spent more than 20 years at American Express in a variety of roles focused on customer loyalty around pricing, engagement and relationship management. She regularly takes a Lyft to catch the latest Broadway show with her two sons, Emilio and Alex.
