Millions of people can’t get to their vaccine. Let’s pick them up.
Getting access to the vaccine is a struggle for many, and we all wish there was more we could do to help loved ones. To do our part, Lyft is mobilizing partners and community members to help provide access to millions of rides to and from vaccine appointments.
If you want to help someone you know get their shot, you can book a ride to pick them up (details below).
Help your mom, grandad — or anyone you love — get a ride.
How to send a ride:
- Tap the search bar on the home screen of your Lyft app.
- Tap the 'Me' button at the top of the next screen, then tap ‘Add rider’ and follow the prompts.
- Enter the pickup location and destination, and send them on their way! (You can track their ride from your app.)
The ride recipient must have their own Lyft account and will see the ride details in their Lyft app.
This commitment takes a village of support
Making sure everyone can get to their vaccine appointment wouldn’t be possible without the power of strong partnerships. We’re grateful to Anthem, JPMorgan Chase, and our Lyft Business partners for supporting so many people’s journey to get vaccinated.
By working with organizations like United Way, the NAACP, and the National Hispanic Council on Aging, we can ensure these rides go to the most in-need communities.
Each of us for all of us
The safety and well-being of everyone sharing the ride is a priority for us, and you can’t ride if you have COVID-19. As part of our Health Safety Program, throughout every ride: Riders and drivers are required to wear face coverings, leave the front seat empty, and keep windows rolled down whenever possible. Violations of these rules will lead to suspension, which would prevent riders/drivers from using Lyft.
