About Lyft Go

Lyft Go is an automatically renewing subscription membership that provides you with access to certain benefits (“Benefits”). The Benefits available to your version of Lyft Go are described on the Lyft Go FAQ page in the Lyft Application (“Lyft App”). There are two (2) versions of Lyft Go: “Lyft Go Core” and “Lyft Go with DashPass”. You may purchase a paid membership to either version of Lyft Go in the Lyft App, including pursuant to a free trial or promotional offer. Benefits may also include offers from third-party partners (“Partner Offers”), as described in Section 8.

These Lyft Go Terms govern your relationship with Lyft. DashPass and the DoorDash platform are provided by DoorDash, Inc. (“DoorDash”), a third party. Your relationship with DoorDash, including your DashPass subscription and any active DashPass Benefits, is governed by separate terms and conditions entered into between you and DoorDash and not these Lyft Go Terms or any other terms and conditions entered into between you and Lyft. DoorDash alone determines the features, eligibility, and terms of DashPass. DoorDash is responsible for DashPass, DoorDash orders, and the DoorDash platform. Lyft does not operate, control, or endorse DashPass or the DoorDash platform, and Lyft is not responsible or liable for DashPass, the DoorDash platform, any DoorDash order (including its preparation, delivery, quality, pricing, cancellation, or refund), or any act or omission of DoorDash, as further described in Section 6.

Subscription, Billing & Auto-Renewal

Your Lyft Go membership will automatically renew at the end of each monthly or annual subscription period, depending on which plan you have selected, and you authorize Lyft to charge your default payment method the applicable then-current subscription membership price (plus applicable taxes) at the start of every renewal period, until canceled. If your default payment method is invalid or fails for any reason, then you agree that Lyft may retry that payment method or charge your secondary payment method(s) in the Lyft App until your payment has been successfully processed. You may opt out of having your secondary payment method(s) charged at any time through your payment settings in the Lyft App. Lyft is not responsible for any fees charged by your bank or payment method including, but not limited to, overdraft fees, insufficient funds fees, interest charges, etc. Lyft will notify you in advance of any price change, which will apply beginning with your next renewal period following such notice. Applicable taxes are not included in the subscription price. Applicable taxes, if any, are determined based on your location and may be added or changed from time to time as required by law. A change in applicable taxes is not a price change under these Lyft Go Terms.

Free Trials & Promotional Offers

If you join Lyft Go pursuant to a free trial or other promotional offer then your membership will automatically renew at the regular then-current subscription price, and you will be charged, at the conclusion of the stated offer period. You authorize Lyft to charge the subscription price to your payment method at the beginning of each billing cycle until you cancel your membership. Lyft may, in its sole discretion, limit eligibility and duration of free trials and promotional offers, including the number of free trials a user may receive. Free trials cannot be paused. If you cancel during a free trial, your trial and access to Benefits will end immediately.

Cancellation, Pausing & Plan Changes

You may cancel your Lyft Go membership at any time prior to the next renewal period by navigating to Lyft Go in the “You” tab of the Lyft App and following the cancellation instructions. Except as described in Section 3, if you cancel your paid membership then you will continue to have access to Lyft Go Benefits until your cancellation takes effect. Your cancellation will take effect as described in the Lyft App at the time you cancel. There are no cancellation fees. Except as described in the Lyft App at the time of cancellation or as required by law, canceling your Lyft Go membership does not entitle you to a refund for payments already processed, and does not stop a pending charge. You may pause your Lyft Go membership in the Lyft App, subject to the pause limits shown in the Lyft App (currently, up to twenty-eight (28) days per pause, once per billing cycle for monthly plans and twice per year for annual plans). While your membership is paused, you will not have access to Benefits, and your next billing date will be postponed by the length of the pause. When your Lyft Go membership ends or is paused, your eligibility for the DashPass Benefit will also end or pause, and you will need to re-activate it if you resume or rejoin. You may upgrade from “Lyft Go Core” to “Lyft Go with DashPass” at any time in the Lyft App.

Complimentary Lyft Go Memberships

You may be eligible to receive a complimentary Lyft Go membership as a benefit of being a customer, subscriber, or member of a third party partner, such as DoorDash’s DashPass (a “Complimentary Lyft Go Membership”). The version of Lyft Go offered as a Complimentary Lyft Go Membership, including any Benefits and eligibility requirements, will be as described in the applicable offer. A Complimentary Lyft Go Membership may be activated by linking your Lyft account with your account with the applicable third party partner, accepting the terms, and opting in, as described in the applicable offer. If your Complimentary Lyft Go Membership is tied to your subscription, membership, or status with a third party partner, then your Complimentary Lyft Go Membership may end or be affected as a result of changes to that subscription, membership, or status (such as if you pause, end, or resume an applicable subscription, or unlink your accounts). Lyft will not charge you for your Complimentary Lyft Go Membership, and such membership will not automatically convert to a paid Lyft Go membership when it ends. If you wish to subscribe to Lyft Go after your Complimentary Lyft Go Membership ends, you may purchase a paid membership in the Lyft App. Your eligibility for a Complimentary Lyft Go Membership may be subject to terms from the third party partner. Except as otherwise described in the applicable offer, any Complimentary Lyft Go Membership is subject to these Lyft Go Terms.

DashPass Benefit

If you have a paid or free trial Lyft Go membership for “Lyft Go with DashPass,” you are eligible to claim one (1) DashPass membership provided by DoorDash at no additional cost (the “DashPass Benefit”). The DashPass Benefit must be activated by linking your DoorDash and Lyft accounts and does not take effect automatically. Lyft will not enroll you in or charge you for a paid DashPass subscription. Problems or issues with DashPass or any DoorDash order should be directed to DoorDash and not Lyft.

Lyft Credits

Earning. You may earn Lyft Credits through Lyft Go (“Credits”). Lyft Credits are calculated as a percentage of the Eligible Fare you have paid for eligible rides, up to a monthly limit. The current earn rate and monthly limit for each version of Lyft Go are shown in the Lyft App. For monthly subscription plans, the monthly limit resets at the start of each monthly billing cycle. For annual subscription plans, the monthly limit resets at the start of each month. “Eligible Fare” means the paid base fare of a completed eligible ride, or the base cost of an eligible bike or scooter ride, excluding fees, taxes, tolls, tips, LyftUp donations, and any portion paid for using coupons, discounts, or Credits.

Redeeming. Credits earned through Lyft Go are redeemable on the Lyft platform and/or the DoorDash platform depending on your version of Lyft Go. Credits earned through a “Lyft Go Core” membership may only be redeemed toward eligible rides in the Lyft App. Credits earned through “Lyft Go with DashPass” may be redeemed toward eligible rides in the Lyft App or eligible orders on DoorDash (the latter as determined by DoorDash), so long as you have an active DashPass Benefit and have linked your DoorDash and Lyft accounts. Credits must be redeemed and are not applied automatically. Only Credits earned through a “Lyft Go with DashPass” membership with an active DashPass Benefit may be redeemed on DoorDash. Lyft Cash (including Lyft Cash purchased in the Lyft App, received through a gift card, or issued as a refund), and any other credits, coupons, or promotions in your Lyft account, cannot be redeemed on DoorDash. Redemption of Credits on DoorDash, and any cancellation, refund, or other issue with a DoorDash order, is handled by DoorDash pursuant to its terms, and Lyft is not responsible for DoorDash’s orders or DoorDash’s treatment of Credits.

Expiration, pauses, and cancellation. Subject to applicable law, Credits expire sixty (60) days after the date they are issued. While your membership is paused or suspended, Credits earned from Lyft Go cannot be redeemed but continue to expire on their original dates. If you cancel your paid Lyft Go membership, you may be able to redeem unexpired Credits earned from Lyft Go on the Lyft App until your cancellation takes effect. If you cancel during a free trial, your Credits earned from Lyft Go will be locked immediately. When your membership ends, your Credits earned from Lyft Go will be locked, cannot be redeemed, and may be forfeited immediately. If you rejoin Lyft Go before your Credits expire, your unexpired Credits that have not been forfeited will again be available for use. Credits will continue to expire on their original dates while locked. Any Credits that expire or are forfeited while locked cannot be restored.

Other terms. Credits are promotional, have no cash value, are not redeemable for cash (except as required by law), and may not be transferred, exchanged, or resold. Lyft may revoke or reverse Credits earned or redeemed through fraudulent or abusive activity or error, and Credits will be forfeited if your Lyft account is deactivated. Applicable taxes on an eligible Lyft ride may be calculated on the price of the ride before Credits are applied.

Third Party Partners and Your Information

Partner Offers are provided by the applicable third party partner and may be subject to that partner’s terms, as described in the applicable offer.

Lyft may use information about your Lyft account and Lyft Go membership, such as your membership version and status, ride frequency, and Credit activity, to identify Partner Offers you may be eligible for and to show them to you in the Lyft App.

Some Partner Offers require you to link your Lyft account with your account with the applicable third party partner. When you link your Lyft account, Lyft and that third party partner will share certain information about you, such as your eligibility and membership status, and Credit and redemption activity, to verify your eligibility and to administer, provide, and improve the Benefits or Partner Offer, as described in the Lyft Privacy Policy and the applicable third party partner’s privacy policy.

You may unlink your Lyft and third party partner accounts at any time. Unlinking stops future sharing under this Section but does not affect information already shared, which remains subject to the applicable privacy policies. You may lose access to Benefits that require linked accounts, including, for “Lyft Go with DashPass,” the DashPass Benefit and the ability to redeem Credits on DoorDash.

Eligibility & Limitations

Lyft Go is only available in the United States, including Puerto Rico, where it is provided by Lyft Puerto Rico LLC and references to “Lyft” include Lyft Puerto Rico LLC. Limit one (1) Lyft Go membership per person. Benefits will only apply to eligible rides in the United States (including Puerto Rico) requested using your personal Lyft account that commence during your active membership period, and do not apply to all ride modes or charges, tips, cancellation fees, damage charges, or other miscellaneous fees or charges, except as expressly provided as part of a Benefit. Lyft reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate your access to Lyft Go if we suspect that you have engaged in fraudulent or abusive activity.

Changes to Lyft Go

Lyft reserves the right to modify, to limit, to discontinue any Benefits, to increase or decrease the value of any Benefits (including Lyft Credit earn rates and limits), or to increase or decrease the price of Lyft Go, at Lyft’s sole discretion. Lyft Go with DashPass and other Partner Offers or Benefits are offered through an arrangement with third party partners and may be modified or discontinued. LYFT GO AND ALL ASSOCIATED BENEFITS ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.

General

Except as described in the Lyft App at the time of cancellation or as required by law, Lyft Go is non-refundable, has no cash value, is not redeemable for cash (except as required by law), and may not be transferred, exchanged or resold. It is your responsibility to timely cancel Lyft Go if you wish to prevent future charges. A paid Lyft Go membership requires a valid credit card or debit card on file as the default payment method; if it is expired or declined your membership will be suspended. Lyft reserves the right to modify these Lyft Go Terms at any time, effective upon posting to the Lyft App, and your continued use of Lyft Go following such modification will constitute your agreement to the revised Lyft Go Terms. In the event of any conflict between these Lyft Go Terms, the Lyft Cash Terms and Conditions, or the Lyft Terms of Service, the Lyft Terms of Service will prevail.
